7 x 60 minute TV travel and culture series. Aired in the 'Travel Channel'
Continuing the ‘Times’ brand, comical host Julian Hanton travels to Asia. Covering 30% of the world’s land mass and home to 60% of its population, Asia is big in every way.
With a focus on East Asia Julian takes on one country or region per episode. The show will explore the diverse history, culture, food and people, while uncovering what makes each area in Asia so unique.
Having previously explored an emerging superpower in Indian Times and one in decline in American Times, Asian Times will explore an East on the rise. From Beijing the capital of the world’s most populace country to Burma a territory slowly coming out of seclusion.
Like previous Times shows and The Third Class Traveller people will be a prominent part of every episode. Julian explores the cities and landscapes with locals in order to gain a unique insight into their culture.
Travel Channel viewers have now come to expect Julian to show them a quirkier side of life and Asia will be a perfect foil for Julian’s offbeat world-view and adventures.
From the craziest party capital of Thailand to the world’s most technologically advanced country, Japan, Julian explores, updates and uncovers the most interesting sights and societies Asia has to offer.
These are ‘Asian Times’.
